
History
Drs Laurie J Maralack and Julia Scholtz-Maralack founded Basilea Bible Institute in Mahikeng, South Africa in January 2013 starting with 8 students.
BBI was first called Faith Bible Institute, Mahikeng until 2016, when its Board of Directors adopted the name change to Basilea Bible Institute.
BBI Lecture halls and Administration offices have been built, through sponsorship facilitated by Korean Missionaries and local donors.
BBI is an interdenominational ministry dedicated to building the body of Christ.

BBI has as its foundation scripture, 2 Timothy 2:2 where the Apostle Paul says to Timothy “The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also”

The vision of BBI is to see lives changed through the teaching and training of believers, according to the Word of God.

The institute makes theological education accessible, affordable and practical, supplement to the teaching ministry of the local church.
