BASILEA BIBLE INSTITUTE STATEMENT OF FAITH

 

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is without error in the original writings, complete in its revelation and final in its content. It is the all-sufficient rule for faith and practice in the life of the believer.

 

We believe God is One God. He has revealed Himself in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

 

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He was born of a virgin. The Word of God became flesh, lived on the earth, suffered and died on the cross for our salvation, rose from the dead, ascended back to heaven where He is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead.

 

We believe all men have sinned and are completely and hopelessly lost without God’s divine intervention. God has made the only provision for men to be saved and that is salvation made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. No man can be saved outside of this provision, which is received by faith and relationship with Jesus.

 

We believe the Church is the body of Christ and that the ministry of Christ continues through His people by the power of the Holy Spirit. This power is made available to assist His people, to bring glory to the Name of Jesus and to draw others to that name.

 

We believe the supreme purpose of every believer is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. This is done through knowing Him and making Him known. These are very real and personal processes, which result in our having an intimate relationship and daily fellowship with Him. This empowers us to witness to the world around us.
